Each of our children at Hope Centre in Kenya, received new mattresses for their beds, and also new linens and blankets which were installed today! Our Directors announced the news in a video on Facebook, along with our very happy children holding their new sheets and blankets. We are filled with joy to receive this blessing!
We’ve been busy working on developing the property and building our new dining hall which is about 99% complete. The mattresses the kids have been sleeping on were purchased several years ago when we opened the orphanage, and first installed the beds. Over the years, the foam mattresses wear down and have needed to be replaced.
Thank you to our friends at Vincent Revival Center, Pastor Jason and Amanda Allums, and to the women’s ministry group for giving big! All of the children have brand new mattresses and bedding, and will sleep very well tonight thanks to you all!
Our new Associate US Ambassador, Jennifer Hudson, recently met with the women’s group in Vincent and shared this need for our children. Very quickly, the entire project, even above and beyond was met. God sent an army of moms, grandmas and friends to meet the need.
It takes many hands to make this work light for our 30 children who are orphaned in Kenya. We are beyond grateful for the partners who link arms with us each month to supply food, clothing and shelter, and for partners who provide special project necessities like this, for new beds and linens. As Bishop Jackson said in the news video, “What you make happen to others, God will make happen to you.”
See the video here of our Directors David Copeland and Jackson Mongaine sharing the news. And, check out that beautiful stack of new mattresses in the background!
There are more projects like this, you can partner with us here to give!
