2019 VBS Recap

While it’s been over five weeks since our Hope Centre VBS Trip, the memories are still very fresh to all the team.

11 team members endured a delayed flight, lost bags for six days, very little sleep, running through airports, and not really knowing for sure if we would see our clean clothes before we returned home to the United States, all for the joy of spending a week with 28 of the most precious children you would ever meet.

The theme for 2019 was “Roar” produced by Group Publishing, and I must say it was one of the most spiritual curriculums we have used since beginning these Bible Schools at Hope Centre. The children were blessed, challenged and encouraged that no matter what happens in life, God is still good!

We also had the opportunity to minister to the children of Kilgoris, Kenya with Fountain of Life Church and Pastors Patrick & Carolyne Wanjala; and for a city wide children’s outreach with SW Hotel. Thank you to Lynoc Yegon for arranging the outreach at SW Hotel. Also, thank you to SW Hotel for allowing us to use them as our headquarters hotel while we are in SW Kenya.

Our 2020 Hope Centre VBS will take place June 15-19, 2020. We have limited space available and if you have ever wanted to experience mission in East Africa, this is the trip for you to take. For more information, contact David Copeland at 1.706.773.1546.
